Sheds for Sale in Ocean Springs, MS
Storage sheds, lofted barns, cabins and portable garages are on the ground at 3613 Bienville Blvd, right on Highway 90 in Ocean Springs. The lot is open 24/7 with no appointment, so walk it before work, after church or on the way back from the boat launch. Shed Geek spent seven years inside this industry through the weekly podcast. Now that shows up as buildings you can put your hands on in Jackson County.
Bought for the Coast by people who talk sheds all week.
Seven years of podcast conversations with the people who build, haul and sell these buildings gave us a wide view of what holds up. On the Coast that view gets tested by 65 inches of rain a year, salt in the air, and a hurricane season that runs June through November.
Every building on the Ocean Springs lot arrived already built. We pick what goes on the gravel the same way at every location: manufacturers we have interviewed, factories we have walked, materials we have watched sit through real weather. Here that means treated skids rated for ground contact, anchoring you can inspect, and roofs and fasteners chosen with salt air in mind.
Shannon Latham has spent 20 years in this industry across procurement, sales, financing and vendor relations, and the last seven as host of the Shed Geek Podcast. Hundreds of episodes, over 1,000 conversations with manufacturers, dealers, haulers and builders across the country. That breadth is what shapes the inventory standing on Bienville Blvd.
Jackson County is two buyers at once. Keesler Air Force Base, Ingalls Shipbuilding and the Chevron refinery keep families moving into subdivisions in Ocean Springs, St. Martin, Gulf Park Estates and Gautier, where a two-car garage fills up with bikes, coolers and a generator by the second summer. North of I-10 toward Vancleave, Latimer and Hurley the lots get bigger, and the question turns into where to put the boat, the side-by-side and a bench with power. We stock for both.
Ask why we carry a particular building and you get an answer with context behind it. Floor systems, siding, fasteners, anchoring, hauling and warranty terms, and why each one matters on low, sandy ground that holds water after a July storm. That is the standard at every Shed Geek Structures location, and it is the standard on the Coast.

Spec it before you pull in.
The buildings on Bienville Blvd were built before they got here, so most of the decision happens standing in front of one. The 3D builder is for the night before: try the size, siding, doors, windows, lofts and trim on screen, then walk the rows knowing what you are looking for. A custom order starts there too, for the rare build the lot does not have.
What is standing on the gravel right now.
Each unit on Bienville Blvd carries a stock number, a size, a cash price and a monthly rent-to-own figure, and the list is meant to be read from the couch before you ever see the lot. Stock turns over. Call to confirm a building is still standing before you head over.
The lot keeps a rotating mix on the ground for walking and comparing, and factory-direct inventory runs deeper than what is parked here. A unit from that pool can be on your property in a matter of days. Questions come up while you are standing in a doorway at nine at night, so start a live video consultation from the lot, any hour, and a Shed Geek walks it with you.

Delivery across Jackson County and the whole Coast.
The Ocean Springs lot handles deliveries across Jackson County and the rest of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Tell us where the building is going and we haul it out, set it on your spot and level it on blocks so it sits right from day one.
Delivery is free within 50 miles of the lot. Past 50 miles there may be an added fee, and we quote it before you sign anything. From Bienville Blvd that 50-mile ring reaches Bay St. Louis to the west, Lucedale to the north and the Alabama line to the east. Shopping from the Upstate of South Carolina instead? Our Spartanburg lot covers that side of the map.

Gazebos, playsets and the rest of the backyard.
A storage building is usually the first thing people come for. It is rarely the only thing the yard needs. Anything here rides on the same delivery and goes on the same rent-to-own or finance agreement.

Gazebos
Octagon, oval or rectangle, wood or vinyl posts, shingle or metal roof. The screened versions earn their keep on a bayou lot once the evening mosquitoes show up.
Poly Furniture
Adirondack chairs, dining sets, gliders and swings made from recycled poly. Salt air and afternoon storms do not rot it, warp it or make it need a sanding every spring.
Outdoor Kitchens
Grill islands, bar counters and covered cook stations built as a unit and set on a slab or a deck. Sized for a Saturday fish fry and delivered ready to cook on.
Playhouses
Kid-size cottages with real windows, a working door and a porch, in the same siding and roof packages as the sheds so it matches the building next to it.
Playsets
Swing sets, towers, slides, climbing walls and monkey bars, treated wood or vinyl. They arrive assembled and get anchored on site, which counts for more here than most places.
Carports
Open steel cover for the truck, the bay boat or the camper. Regular, boxed-eave and vertical roof profiles, with sides and ends closed in as far as you want to go.
Dog Kennels & Animal Structures
Kennels with runs, chicken coops, rabbit hutches and small livestock shelters. The right fit for the acreage up Highway 57 and out toward Hurley.
Shed Accessories
Ramps, shelving, workbenches, lofts, extra windows, vents, ridge venting and anchor kits. Cheaper and easier to spec now than to add after the truck leaves.
Storage on the Coast is a saltwater problem.
Boats & Fishing Gear
Rods, cast nets, crab traps, coolers, a kayak or two, and a bay boat under a roll-up door instead of under a tarp.
Hurricane Season
Shutters, plywood, the generator, fuel and water, stored dry and reachable in June instead of dug out of a garage in a rush.
Shops & Acreage
A bench with power, the side-by-side and the deer gear on a lot north of I-10 in Vancleave, Latimer or Hurley.
Pay for it the way that fits.
Nobody should have to drain savings to get a building in the yard. Pick the route that matches how you want to pay for it.

Rent-to-Own
No credit check. Low monthly payments, and the building is yours outright at the end of the term. The common path for buyers under $10K. Approval does not run your credit, so a thin file or a rough patch does not put you out of the running.
No penalty for early payoff, and 12 months same-as-cash is available if you would rather pay it off fast. Rent-to-own is not offered on animal structures.
Ask About Rent-to-Own →Financing
Traditional financing through partners like J Money Finance for larger garages, workshops and cabins, with more than one program to choose from. Quick approvals, real people on the phone, and every path explained plainly before you sign.
See Financing Options →Cash or Check
Pay it out and own it on day one. No agreement, no monthly note, no interest. If the cash is sitting there, this is the cheapest the building will ever be.
Call for Cash Pricing →Credit Card
Major cards accepted on deposits and on the full purchase. Handy if you are chasing points or would rather keep the transaction on one account.
Ask What We Take →Already know the size and style you want? Send it over and we will price it with the payment route attached.
What to check before you sign.
A brochure will not tell you how a building handles a Gulf Coast summer. These are the five questions we would want answered on any unit, whether it comes off our lot or somebody else's.
Skids and floor first.
The floor does the quiet work. Treated runners and joists rated for ground contact, and a real subfloor, are what keep a building solid on low, sandy ground that stays wet for days after a storm. Formosan termites are established in Jackson County, so ask what the treated lumber is warranted against and for how long.
Anchoring is part of the purchase.
Jackson County sits in the coastal windborne-debris region. Ask how the building anchors, what the kit is rated for and who installs it. Sort it out before delivery day, and we will help you match it to what your parcel calls for.
Roof and fasteners with salt in the air.
Metal roofing and coated fasteners hold up well near the water when the gauge and the coating are right. Shingles have their place too. Which one fits depends on how close you sit to the bay and how much sun the roof takes, and it is a two-minute conversation on the lot.
Ventilation protects the contents.
A vented ridge moves far more air than gable vents alone. That is what keeps a closed building from cooking rods, electronics and stored fabric through a Coast August, and keeps condensation off the underside of the roof.
Read the warranty before you sign.
Each manufacturer sets the written warranty on its buildings. Ask for it on the unit you are standing in front of and read what the treated lumber, the siding and the roof are covered for. We walk you through the fine print before anything gets signed.

Permits, flood zones and wind in Ocean Springs.
Three sets of rules apply to an outbuilding on the Coast: the building code, the flood ordinance and your covenants. Knowing them going in beats moving a delivered building later, which is a bad afternoon for everybody.
Do you need a permit?
The City of Ocean Springs works under the 2024 International Codes. The model residential code exempts a one-story detached accessory structure of 200 square feet or less from a building permit, and most backyard storage sheds land under that line.
Coastal cities amend the model code, the exemption never covers electrical, plumbing or mechanical work, and it does not waive zoning or the flood ordinance. Garages, workshops and cabins almost always clear the threshold and get a permit.
City of Ocean Springs Building Department, 1018 Porter Ave, (228) 875-6712, Monday to Friday 7:30 to 4:30. Outside city limits (St. Martin, Gulf Park Estates, Latimer, Vancleave, Hurley): Jackson County Planning, 2915 Canty St, Pascagoula, (228) 769-3056.Flood zones and freeboard
Parts of Ocean Springs along Fort Bayou, Davis Bayou and the beachfront sit in a Special Flood Hazard Area. Inside one, the city's flood ordinance requires 18 inches of freeboard above Base Flood Elevation, and the Building Department decides how that applies to an accessory building on your parcel.
Setbacks still apply on top of that, measured from the structure to the nearest property line, and they differ by zoning district. Pull your parcel's flood zone and setbacks before you pick a spot. We place the unit to match.
Flood Damage Prevention Ordinance enforced by the Building Department; the city's FEMA maps date to March 2009. Zoning and setbacks: Ocean Springs Planning, (228) 875-4415.Wind rating, anchoring and covenants
Jackson County is in the coastal windborne-debris region, and ultimate design wind speeds along the Coast run 130 to 150 mph depending on the address. Building officials can ask for anchoring or wind-load documentation even on a small freestanding structure, so ask us for the anchor kit rating before delivery.
Covenants are the third hurdle. Many subdivisions around Gulf Park Estates, St. Martin and Fontainebleau restrict height, siding color, roof material and where an outbuilding can sit relative to the house. The county does not enforce them, and your HOA does not care what the county allows.
Design wind speeds come from the ASCE 7 maps referenced by the adopted code; confirm the value for your parcel with the Building Department. Covenants are recorded with your plat and available from your HOA board or management company. What this lot is built on.
