A welded steel frame under metal walls

The metal-sided line is built around a steel frame. The frame is 1x1-inch steel tubing welded into a single piece, and vertical metal panels close it in. Under the frame sits a wood floor on pressure-treated notched skids, so the building is delivered, leveled and set the same way as a wood shed, and it can be moved again later.

Six sizes run from a 6x8 at 48 square feet to a 12x24 at 288. Each size comes in a set layout, and the 12x20 comes in two, so the price list has seven lines. The smallest is $2,849. The largest, a 12x24 set up as a small shop, is $11,399.

What it is built from

  • Frame. 1x1-inch steel tubing, welded together into one frame.
  • Siding. Metal panels with the ribs running vertically.
  • Floor. Pressure-treated notched skids under 3/4-inch tongue-and-groove engineered flooring, laid staggered, with a spike driven by hand at every notch.
  • Kick plate. A plate along the bottom of the walls takes the bumps from mowers and wheelbarrows so the siding does not.
  • Roof vents. They let heat out of a building that stays shut most of the day.

Seven layouts, from a tool box to a shop

  • 6x8 with a single end door, $2,849. Room for a push mower, a trimmer, a blower and a wall of hand tools.
  • 8x10 with a single end door and a window, $4,049. 80 square feet with daylight, enough for yard gear and a small potting bench.
  • 10x12 with a 7x7 garage door and a loft, $5,199. The garage door lets a riding mower or a motorcycle roll straight in, and the loft holds the bins.
  • 10x16 with double 9-lite side doors, $7,199. Three 24x36 windows, two lofts and two pegboard panels come with it. This is the layout for a hobby room or a workspace that needs light.
  • 12x20 with a 9x7 garage door and a loft, $8,199. A garage footprint for a side-by-side or a lawn tractor, with a loft above.
  • 12x20 or 12x24 shop, $9,349 or $11,399. A 9x7 garage door, a 48-inch foam-filled metal walk-in door, four 24x36 windows, a loft, a workbench and pegboard.

The layout is set for each size. If you want a garage door on the 10x16 or a walk-in door on the 10x12, ask on the call and we will tell you what can be done. A pre-hung 48x72 foam-filled walk-in door is on the option list at $350.

Metal or wood

Pick the metal-sided line when you want steel walls and a building that reads as a work building. Pick a wood line, such as the utility shed or the portable garage, when you want paint colors and trim choices, or when the building is going somewhere outside the delivery area below. If you only need plain covered floor at the lowest price, the economy metal shed comes in 8x12 and 10x12.

Where it can go

Steel-frame buildings are delivered in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia, which puts them with the Spartanburg lot. Delivery is free within 50 miles of the lot. Past 50 miles, the added charge is quoted before you buy. Before delivery we can send you a link to record a video walk of your property, so the delivery team sees the route, the gate and the spot ahead of time. The crew levels the building and sets it where you want it.

Paying for it

Cash, check, ACH or a major credit card works for the deposit or the full purchase. Rent-to-own needs no credit check, has no early-payoff penalty and includes a 12-month same-as-cash window. For the garage and shop layouts, traditional financing through partners like J Money Finance is the usual route, and you can start a financing application here on the site.

Warranty

Coverage starts on the delivery date. You get five years of no-hassle coverage on everything, workmanship and materials, plus limited lifetime coverage on the metal roofing. Storm damage, a tree limb falling on the building and damage from debris left sitting on the roof are not covered. Terms can vary by product, so we go over exactly what covers your building before you buy.

Questions

What buyers ask before they order

Is the frame wood or steel?

Steel. The frame is 1x1-inch steel tubing welded into one piece, with vertical metal siding over it. The floor is wood: pressure-treated notched skids under 3/4-inch tongue-and-groove engineered flooring.

Can I get one delivered outside the Carolinas?

Steel-frame buildings are delivered in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. Anywhere else, call us and we will price a wood building in the size you need.

Which layouts have a garage door?

The 10x12 has a 7x7 garage door. Both 12x20 layouts and the 12x24 have a 9x7 garage door, and the shop layouts at 12x20 and 12x24 add a 48-inch walk-in door.

What comes with the shop layout?

A 9x7 garage door, a 48-inch foam-filled metal walk-in door, four 24x36 windows, a loft, a workbench and pegboard. It is offered at 12x20 for $9,349 and at 12x24 for $11,399.

Can I add a walk-in door to another size?

A pre-hung 48x72 foam-filled walk-in door is on the option list at $350. Ask on the call which sizes and walls it fits.

Can the building be moved later?

Yes. The notched-skid floor is what lets a building be delivered on a trailer and moved again later.

What does the listed price cover?

The building at the size and layout you picked. Options, tax and delivery past 50 miles are quoted separately.
