PlayMor Swing Sets from Hershberger Lawn Structures

PlayMor Swing Sets are built by Hershberger Lawn Structures, a family business at 8990 State Route 39 in Millersburg, Ohio. PlayMor has been building backyard playsets since 1992, and today it makes both poly and wooden sets that local dealers deliver and install across the US. The full catalog and the 3D builder are on the PlayMor Swing Sets website.

The series

PlayMor's lineup runs from entry-level wood to playground-sized poly:

  • ChampCraft, the budget-friendly wooden line, with models including Little Gem, Playtime Fun, Childhood Treasure and Boredom Buster.
  • Tower series in poly: Play Tower, Deluxe Play Tower, Sky Tower, Deluxe Sky Tower (marked as the most popular), Summit Tower and Deluxe Summit Tower. Each Deluxe Sky Tower set comes with a DX Sky Tower, a premium slide and a 10-ft-high swing beam.
  • King's Tower, Space Saver, Free Standing, Youngster's Yacht, and Unlimited, which PlayMor calls playground-sized.

On PlayMor's site, ChampCraft sets are listed from $1,875 to $2,775, and Deluxe Sky Tower sets from $10,701 to $13,590. Pricing changes, so check with a dealer.

What the sets are made of

PlayMor's poly sets use stainless steel hardware, poly-coated frames, and poly flooring and trim that the company describes as splinter-free, insect-resistant and eco-friendly. Its wooden sets use Southern Yellow Pine, which PlayMor says is strong and durable, and for each tree used, thousands more are planted. The lumber is milled carefully and every edge is rounded. Installs are done by trained crews.

The company's case for choosing PlayMor comes down to eight points: structural strength, renewable resources, multiple options, unique design, easy installation, ready changeability, sets that last for years, and lasting memories.

Warranty

PlayMor markets its sets as backed by up to a 20-year warranty. The details depend on the set and the part. Poly sets carry a five-year limited warranty, with a twenty-year limited warranty on Woodguard wooden components against termites and fungal decay, and on metal braces, PlayMor Scoop Wave Slides and PlayMor Baby Swings. Wood sets carry a five-year limited warranty plus a ten-year limited warranty on treated yellow pine components against termites and fungal decay, and on braces, those slides and baby swings. Read the full terms on the PlayMor warranty page.

Design it in 3D

PlayMor's 3D play set designer lets families build a set on screen and see it live. Every element of the set can be changed to fit the space or what the kids want.

For dealers

PlayMor sells through local dealers who deliver and install, and it's looking for businesses in strategic areas to join the network. On the podcast, David Hershberger talked through what playsets add to a shed lot. The episode notes quote a markup around 60%, a minimum display investment near $10K, and onsite installs that often wrap up in about an hour. Those are figures from the conversation, so get current dealer terms from PlayMor directly.

The Hershbergers

David Hershberger is owner and general manager, and Paul Hershberger is owner and president. The company puts its faith up front with a verse on its About page: "children are a heritage of the Lord, and the fruit of the womb is his reward." The same team builds Stryker Hunting Blinds.

Shannon first sat down with David Hershberger, Paul Hershberger and Chris Miller for "Hershberger Lawn Structures," Season 3, Episode 44, published July 5, 2023. They cover how the company got started and where it's headed. Listen to the Hershberger Lawn Structures episode. David came back for "Backyard Profits, Built On Fun" (Season 6, Episode 13, January 30, 2026). That episode covers Woodguard structural members, Tangent poly rails, stainless hardware, rotomolded slides and the 3D configurator, and it announced a Shed Geek partnership to help grow the PlayMor and Stryker dealer network. Adding playsets to your lot

Dealers weighing a new product line can talk it through with Shed Geek Consulting, and Shed Geek Marketing runs the ads and local search to sell it. Hunting blinds are another add-on line from the same family; see Stryker Hunting Blinds. For the rest of the backyard, the Upstate shed lot and the Gulf Coast shed lot have prebuilt storage sheds ready to deliver.
