Stryker Hunting Blinds is the hunting brand of Hershberger Lawn Structures (HLS), a family-owned company at 8990 State Route 39 in Millersburg, Ohio. Its line is "Stealth Matters." The ShadowMax line

ShadowMax is Stryker's main series, in four versions:

• ShadowMax: 6x6x8 gun blind
• ShadowMax Pro: 6x6x8 archery blind
• ShadowMax XL: 8x8x8 gun blind
• ShadowMax Pro XL: 8x8x8 archery blind

The XL models add two more feet, which Stryker pitches as room for friends, family and film crews. Every ShadowMax comes standard with 8 ft side walls and shares the same build:

• WhisperTrack windows: smooth one-handed operation, felt-lined for silence, with an upgrade to double-pane to cut frost and fog
• Sound-dampened floors and ceilings
• Matte black walls and tinted windows
• Sealed edges and no air vents
• An octagon design that gives you corners to hide in
• LP SmartSide walls, Sherwin-Williams Deck and Dock coating, and a powder-coated steel roof

Buyers choose the base and the entry, and can upgrade to steel, add peep windows or move up to ThermoPane windows.

Scout and Outlander

Stryker's shop also lists two more families. The Scout Standard has a 70"x70" floor, 96" of height, a carpeted floor, insulated sidewalls, blacked-out windows and four standard windows. The Scout Pro adds four vertical windows. The Outlander runs 66"x66" with 84" of height, a carpeted floor, blacked-out sidewalls and windows, and eight standard WhisperTrack windows. The Outlander Pro has matte black walls and mixes four standard and four vertical WhisperTrack windows.

Warranty and dealers

Stryker blinds carry a 5-year limited warranty from the date of sale, to the original purchaser, covering defects in material and workmanship. The warranty page lists the exclusions (surface rust, wood checking, mold, fading, severe weather, alterations and transport damage among them). Stryker sells through dealers: pricing varies by dealer, there's a dealer locator on the site, and businesses can apply to carry the line.

A family of hunters

Founder and owner Paul Hershberger and his son David, owner and general manager, are both passionate hunters. The company says the blinds are inspired by the problems they've run into over a lifetime of hunting whitetail deer. Stryker's mission statement starts from the belief that everyone needs fun, fresh air and exercise every day, and commits to designing, building and distributing innovative blinds that are always in stock. The same company builds PlayMor playsets and ChampCraft swing sets.
